Minoru Tomijima and Althea Uhlman Tomijima to establish the Professor Alo Raun Fund

Friday, June 17, 2022

We are happy to acknowledge a generous donation from Minoru Tomijima and Althea Uhlman Tomijima to establish the Professor Alo Raun Fund. Professor Raun, was instrumental in Minoru Tomijima’s decision to join Indiana University as a graduate student and pursue his interest in the origin of languages, especially those long forgotten. This gift will support graduate students in the Department of Central Eurasian Studies and faculty conducting research on the Silk Road. We truly appreciate this gift that will benefit scholarly work on the Silk Road for years to come.
